Your role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you are crucial in enhancing SYNAOS’ technological capabilities. Your primary responsibility revolves around crafting and refining our platform infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to maximize its efficiency. Leveraging your expertise in cloud technologies and software development, you will lead the implementation of scalable and reliable systems. Additionally, you will actively contribute to shaping our technical roadmap and support the growth of our team through mentorship, cultivating a progressive and learning environment.

Your mission

Design, develop, and maintain a Kubernetes-based platform in a cloud-native environment, focusing on SaaS solutions and ensuring continuous operation
Contribute to the seamless delivery of deployable releases for on-premises installations
Manage the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and test strategies
Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure seamless delivery of product features
Utilize our tech stack efficiently, consisting of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Helm, Git, GitLab, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, and OpenSearch, to develop and maintain our platform and monitoring infrastructure
Enable teams to work efficiently by automating processes and embracing principles such as Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps
Work with AWS managed services, including EKS and Aurora, among others
Develop scripts and services using languages such as Bash, Python, or Go
Rotate on-call shifts to ensure the smooth operation of the platform and services

Your profile

Abilities:

Ideally, you bring 5 years or more of relevant experience
Experienced in orchestrating and overseeing scalable production infrastructures, with proficiency in leading and implementing innovative approaches
Skilled in Agile software development methodologies, particularly Scrum
Strong mentorship capabilities, actively contributing to discussions and offering valuable guidance
Demonstrates ownership and a proactive approach to tackling challenges, thriving in dynamic environments such as start-ups
Fluent in English with proficiency in German as an additional asset

Deine Rolle

Als Senior Platform Engineer spielst du eine bedeutende Rolle für die Weiterentwicklung der technologischen Möglichkeiten bei SYNAOS. Deine Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, unsere Plattforminfrastruktur zu gestalten und zu verfeinern, indem du eng mit interdisziplinären Teams zusammenarbeitest, um ihre Effizienz zu maximieren. Dabei nutzt du dein Fachwissen in Cloud-Technologien und Softwareentwicklung, um die Umsetzung skalierbarer und zuverlässiger Systeme zu leiten. Darüber hinaus trägst du aktiv dazu bei, unsere technische Roadmap zu gestalten und die Entwicklung unseres Teams durch Mentoring zu unterstützen, um ein progressives und lernendes Umfeld zu fördern.

Deine Mission

Entwurf, Entwicklung und Wartung der auf Kubernetes basierenden Plattform in einer cloudnativen Umgebung, mit Schwerpunkt auf SaaS-Lösungen und der Sicherstellung des kontinuierlichen Betriebs
Unterstützung bei der nahtlosen Bereitstellung von installierbaren Releases für On-Premises-Installationen
Verwaltung des Designs und der Implementierung von CI/CD-Pipelines, Bereitstellungs- und Teststrategien
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produktteam, um eine reibungslose Bereitstellung von Produktfunktionen sicherzustellen
Effiziente Nutzung unseres Tech-Stacks, bestehend aus Kubernetes, Argo CD, Helm, Git, GitLab, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit und OpenSearch, zur Entwicklung und Wartung unserer Plattform- und Überwachungsinfrastruktur

Dein Profil

Fähigkeiten:

Du bringst Erfahrungen in agilen Softwareentwicklungsmethoden, insbesondere Scrum mit.
Du hast starke Mentoring-Fähigkeiten und nimmst gerne aktiv an Diskussionen teil bzw. berätst deine Teamkollegen.
Du hast eine eigenverantwortliche und proaktive Arbeitsweise, um Alltags-Herausforderungen zu bewältigen und blühst in dynamischen Umgebungen wie Start-ups auf.
Du sprichst fließend Englisch. Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.
